Turbo Blankets - smoke026 - 08-14-2011

Anyone running turbo blankets? Any "REAL" heat dissipation under the hood? Any one with an EGT gauge who has ran them, were EGT's lowered?

Is this worth looking into?

cheers

Im kinda indifferent when it comes to blankets. I have heard the pros and cons. Not to big a deal. But I dont think they offer much change to egts. As most of the egt sensors ive seen are pre-turbo.

One thing I do know is they can keep underhood temps down.

This would be a benefit paritcularly if your AWIC was sitting on top of it.

It won't keep EGT's down but it should help the turbo spool faster and lower under hood temps. I went the HPC route rather than a snail cover. Just got the HX40 and GT38R back from Jet Hot.
