Cracked my oil pan - Jtn190D - 09-09-2011

So a big rock decided to puncture the oil pan in my 190D turbo yesterday.

The whole is about the size of a quarter and the only way I see possible to fix it is to remove the pan, but in that case I'd have to remove the sway bar and it seems like numerous other parts.

I need to know if it's best to buy a new one, or have mine Tig welded with more reinforcement on the inside? Also if anyone has a link to a the procedure on how to remove the pan plus any other ideas on the subject would be awesome!

Removing my 603 pan in-situ was a total pain. Even after lifting the engine til the trans hit the top of the tunnel, there was barely enough space to get it out. Dunno if it'd help to remove the steering center link as well.

The pan itself is pretty straightforward. The numerous allens all around it, plus the 6 long ones near the bellhousing.
