can't find it- any tips on where it may be lurking?!?!?!
unless someone knows the code for an 83, dark blue...

Just on the drivers side of the hood latch is a metal plate with square holes punched in it. It should be painted body color. One of the numbers is your paint code. You can do a google search for mercedes paint code info, and trace it down that way. I did that on my car and found out the orange is called English Red.
