Pretty sweeeet! I'm just wondering, why does the oil pan need to be so massive?

RE: Koch Diesel Conversion - Simpler=Better - 08-13-2012

It's +1 qt, my guess is that if you're going through the trouble to make a custom pan you might as well gain some oil capacity. Then you won't have that annoying 1qt of leftover oil on each change :p

That makes sense

Um, that's a lot to brag about! Did you use a conversion kit?

Any major hangups while swapping?

RE: Koch Diesel Conversion - jandamerc - 10-30-2012

I hate to say it; but thats a pathetic excuse for a mud pit. lol. Good pics of the swap and nice job on that toyota tazulica.

Sweet! They have motor mount adapters for $60. I can use those for the FJ40 swap. I'd rather use those than fab my own (lazy).

You jeep guys have it good with the crawl ratios. The FJ40 has a pretty tall low range which might prove problematic with low off-boost torque.
