270 cdi OM 612.962 upgrade - bmartins - 11-29-2012

Hello.
I recently bought one W203 270 cdi and i want to upgrade it to a better performance.
Here in Portugal i don´t have any information about upgrade...Here tunners just want VAG cars..
Without spend a lot of money for now, what should i do besides a remap?
i spoke to a guy that told me to get a MAP sensor for 3bar...but i just find VAG or OPEL!!!!
I read one post from this forum, but i need to be sure if exists some Mercedes Map sensor that can hold 3bar..
Do you have some part number for it?
In the future, another turbo and injectores can be dreamed..
thanks

You can use turbo from 320CDI OM613, this is GT2359V, your current turbo is GT2256V.

As far as I rememeber 320CDI turbo fits 1:1 on 270CDI engine.

Changing MAP sensor will need remapping of ECU otherwise it will not work correctly.

3bar (2bar absolute) MAP A006 153 9928

4bar (3bar absolute) MAP A007 153 0028

DONT USE without remapping ;-)

Hello.
Very very thank you for your answer....
Ok dont worry because tomorrow it will be remaped...

Do you think that change the turbo for a GT2359v is a good choice just with the remap and MAP sensor?
Should my injectors be able to move the GT23V?

RE: 270 cdi OM 612.962 upgrade - majesty78 - 12-01-2012

GT2359V is fine on 270CDI, if you want to use full potential you need better intercooler and bigger injector nozzles. (You may contact "Dieselmeken" here on forums for upgrading your stock injectors)

But be aware, changing hardware is only half the way. Without proper remapping you start braking things ;-)

RE: 270 cdi OM 612.962 upgrade - bmartins - 12-02-2012

Today i remaped my engine and the car is totally diference....i am loving it and my fuel consumption lowered about 0.5L.
Next week i will get my new 3 bar MAP sensor and change my remap...
My turbo for now is doing 1.4bar, but with the new sensor 1.7will be achieved...
What do you think?1.7 bar is good or should i get a bit more? Does my turbo GT22v can hold more than 1.7 bar?
thanks

1.7bar at which RPM?

RE: 270 cdi OM 612.962 upgrade - bmartins - 12-03-2012

Hello.
1.7 bar around
3000rpms...i guess

(12-03-2012, 08:23 AM)bmartins Hello.
1.7 bar around
3000rpms...i guess

You will need a 400cdi Pump and good injectors.

There is a 200 cdi with 300 HP so you can get 375 if you have enough air ...

RE: 270 cdi OM 612.962 upgrade - bmartins - 12-07-2012

Wow......
Hello.
No, i just want to update my version....
For now i don´t want to change turbo, fuel pump or injectors...
I just want with a remap and 3bar map sensor for now and try to get 200/210 HP..is it possible?
In the future i will try hardcore upgrades..
Thankjs

RE: 270 cdi OM 612.962 upgrade - majesty78 - 12-08-2012

The 56mm compressor is good for about 230hp, but you must keep an eye on exhaust gas temperatures when remapping.

To high temperatures will kill the turbo.

Main influence on exhaust gas tempreature is injection timing when remapping these engines, bad timing will raise temperatures rapidly as also excessive smoke will do so.

Remap with safe timing and little to zero smoke will keep your turbo alive longer.

ok...Thanks you one more time...
I will remove my cat as soon as possible..
My van is almost smoke free at this moment...I don´t like smoke..
230hp would be great but if 210hp for me was nearly a dream...
eheheheheh....thanks
