OK, trying to take care of smaller stuff on Redemption. Next annoying question, how does the W124 reverse light switch work? Where is it? 722.4 atx. Is it in the shifter or in the transmission? Is it that wire harness that is on the side of the transmission?

Yes it is. Part of the inhibitor/safety switch IIRC. The single cable on the back switches the kickdown solenoid
