clutch just can't handle it - squirrelmaster - 08-23-2009

I my 87 300d I put a 5 speed from a 190 16v and a clutch from a well not sure but it is 215mm and not enough when ripping on it, Who knows what from what works in this situation, what clutch does the red and black 190 on u tube use , i need something in that neighborhood, cause this winter a he351ve and juiced pump will join the car. Thanks Andy

Most say they use a clutch from a Sprinter. You'll have to import it though, all USA sprinters are automatic.

There are different clamping pressures for the plates, check the FSM. You can also do what I did and get a Gwagen setup.

You could just get a after market 16v clutch. Spec sells one. It's not going to be cheap.
