6.9 LSD in 300sd - buzzboy - 02-17-2015
I've got a w116 300SD that I race. I would like to install an LSD in the car. I was given a differential that's supposedly a 6.9 diff which should be an LSD unit. Would I be able to use the LSD unit of the 6.9 with my 3.07 gears? I can't find any information about a carrier break in the old style diffs though.
My other option would be to weld the diff which would not be my preferred method but I'd do it if the LSD won't fit.
