i have a w124 sedan and i was lokking to change out the suspension.. i have heard that e36 coilovers fit on the front but then not sure in the back.. is there another option you guys recommend..

For the rear shock you can use a saab 900 rear shock, or a ford ranger front shock. I am using a Bilstein ranger shock for the rear of my W124 and E36 M3 Bilstein for the front. Just need to order H&R springs (i was previously planning to put bags on the car but sold the air ride).

Will this lower the car at all? Trying to judge whether to use the saab/ranger struts to replace my 1987 300td wagon. Want to maintain stock height.

Nope, the spring controls the ride hight. But this shock has a lower overall stroke which is ideal for lower cars, something to think about if your car is at a high stock hight.

I installed the H & R kit on my 124 and i really love it. You really don't need to reinvent the wheel with the suspension on these cars.

It lowered it to much (for me) I ended up putting 10+mm M-B spacers in the rear and +5mm in the front. No, i have a sedan.
