AX-15 in w126 - DrewGerhan - 06-26-2015

Hey guys,

Who here can tell me the length from bell housing to shifter for an Jeep AX-15 transmission?

Also, who can tell me the distance from engine to auto shifter hole in transmission tunnel on a w126?

I swapped a Benz 4 speed into my old SD and now I want a 5 speed in my current SD. I'm thinking of a mid-90s 2wd Dakota for the trans.

I saw pictures comparing a T5 trans to the Benz 4 speed, but not an AX-15.

Ax- 15 is 12" from face of trans to center of shifter. Bellhousing (Jeep) is 7 1/2" deep from engine face to trans face. Would be a easy conversion with a engine adapter from Mercedesdiesel4x4.com using a Jeep Cherokee bellhousing.
