MAP sensor linear- need some help - Omnipresent - 08-24-2016

Hey guys,
I got a little problem, I just put in my OM612 E-class gt2359 turbo and C30 AMG injectors and bought A0071530028 MAP sensor to tune my ecu, but after all my tuner used old 1.5bar MAP because he couldn't find something like "linear" for the new one, I don't really know what it is, but I would like someone to enlighten me, and help. Hi!

What is meant is this:

[Image: map-mat-sensors-graph1]

And what you need is a sensor that does the same, but then not from low pressur to a little more pressure, but to 4 bar Smile

I hope this helps Smile

Kind regards,

Google does not show it so it must be some other non popular sensor..but I suppose it is 4bar sensor. Then linearisation in EDC15 is 4x1 map and values follows as this:

mV:    98    499  4501  4902
mBar: 289  500  4000  4000

Thanks for your answers guys, now I see what it all is about Smile my tuner will try to figure out this, or just use other sensor, hope everything will go right ^^ thanks for your time Smile

May I ask why you give two voltage for the same pressure
4501mV=4000mbar
4902mV=4000mbar
I thought that this what about linearisation? What am I missing out here? or are there some special reason for this?

RE: MAP sensor linear- need some help - starynovy - 08-30-2016

Because it is only linear in that region in the middle. Also it measures maximum pressure at 4.5V so stating that at 5V it is still 4000mBar is correct too.
