Stock fuel pressure - EmJay - 01-22-2017

Hello,
I'm trying to find what the stock fuel pressure for the lift pump is for the w123 om617 turbo motor is. I'm looking into putting in an electric fuel pump.  For what I'm reading the suggested pressure for electric pumps is 30psi, and upgrade the rubber hose to handle the pressure. My goal is to replicate the stock fuel pressure a set I'm running a stock injector pump. I was looking for a rebuild kit for my stock one, but some of the parts are NLA. Also a replacement lift pump is not cheap.

So back to original inquiry, what is stock pressure for the lift pump, and flow rate?

Bumping this thread as I'm curious as well. I know it's a different engine but its a starting point at least. I'm currently putting a OM606 turbo into a previously FI gas burner that used a 50 psi "lift pump" for the FI system. I was planning to add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator inline to lower the electric pumps pressure. That said I was just planning to lower it to ~10psi or so and just see how it ran, didn't actually know what was ideal for these Mercedes pumps

Scratching my head here so don't quote me on this but think idle was about 0.8bar/ ~10psi and running is 1.4bar /~20 psi. Hopefully someone comes in with the FSM specs Tongue

Higher the pressure the better though as long as you don't start having leaks
