Experiences with DPUK fuel pump building kit? - Enis13 - 05-12-2021
Hi, was wondering has anybody got any experience with this kit? I got a few reliable builders and with this pump would be A LOT cheaper. Are there more kits like this from other companies? Hows the performance and what's the difference in price from other companies? Thank you!

Hi,
i have tested the Pumpelements, and i am not very happy with it.
You have to spend a lot of work on the testbench, and it runs never like you really want.
The fabrication tolerances are too big, maybe the elements can work, when you have 100 pieces and you put each one in the pump, take it out and put it in catagories. So you have some of type a, type b and so on. With this system maybe it can work, but then, the engine runs bad too.
Because this, i have choosen my own way, I grind my own Pumpelements in 2 different diameters, so i know what i have....

DPUK is a crap fella , and all he sells is crap too.
But many people buy from him, probably they like to be fooled.
The level of expertise needed to calibrate and tune a superpump is not at the corner , neither at the reach of all.
This just to forguet that special tooling needed.
I have tuned a few pumps and seen a few things ...
Like repairing DPUK pumps and find out DMK 1st series elements in them.

I've done those elements on my 605edc pump . I've set high cc fueling as much as possible equal leaving idle as it is, 3 elements gave about equal , 4th higher and 5th less, so engine feels a bit shaky on idle. As German Diesel mentined you have to have many sets to find equal elements. If its just budget tuning then it can work as it is.

you think thats true for all his stuff (non pump related)? his youtube videos going through the products seem to show he's not just slappin stuff together, theres some thought and organization going on. Seems like he's more organized than his competitors i've seen

So does anybody else do these kinds of kits, elements, etc.? Would prefer to do this instead of buying a whole new pump.

But if anyone thinks a pump (any kind) can be assembled without a tester, and years of expertise... i don't mind some will come to me for rebuild... or others.
