06-18-2014, 02:27 PM #1hi i am a newbee .what I'm after is simple answers as new with diesels.what i want to do is transplant the 606 from 99 e class .would like it as simple as can be i.e. no electrics,want to fit larger turbo heading for a round 350-400hp with not much lag. what parts do i need i.e. turbo pump,and what do i need to do to the engine to achieve what i want .sorry if this has been done before but I'm a crap reader but i weld good cheers gary

you will want the injection pump off an om603 300d and probably a holset turbo hx40 and you will need to have the pump built and tuned for that power level.

as you went from electric pump to mechanical you will have to fab
linkage,set a few gauges to monitor temps ...powah? ... 450+
depending of car transplanted you may have to fab engine/motor mounts..etc....

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.

Get a HX35 cheap from ebay, but make sure it has an exhaust housing no bigger than 12cm2, this number is stamped in the exhaust flange entry to the scroll.
Installed:
OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
