FS: om605 and 606 engines complete
Hey guys due to the abundance of om605 and om606 engines over here, I can provide a service to source and ship an engine to wherever you are in the world. I realise some of you find it difficult to obtain these engines so im willing to help out.
I can also source gearboxes (including 6 speed manuals), clutches, diffs, brakes, etc. If you have any particular requirements then let me know.

I was thinking of doing the same for engines & gearboxs shipped over via pallets
I'm interested...
what is the starting (without shipment) price for 605 or 606 with or without tranny? ..... w124 version would be nice
cheers

.
I have been daydreaming of putting an OM605 and 6-speed combination in my W201 for years. I currently have OM602 turbo / 5 speed combo.
I'm almost afraid to start asking questions about prices, because I realize what a short trip it would be to ownership. Putting my fears aside, I'm interested in finding out the costs.
Thanks,
Steve.
I would love a OM605 turbo I'm interested in finding out the price
Ok for future reference, im going to give you a price of £1500 all in - that includes a 606.962 engine delivered to your door on a pallet to anywhere in the USA.
The price for just an engine is £750. You are welcome to sort out your own courier.
These prices are not set in stone, it depends on what I can find at the time and how quickly you want it. The price will most likely be cheaper but as each case is different I think its best to give you guys the maximum cost you can expect to save from confusion.

Can you handle BMW M51? Can you get a better rate shipping multiple engines? Any experience with customs? I'd like to make a couple test runs.
I'm interested in a 606 a couple M51s perhaps some landrover engines, modified bmw m51 I think.
Grecy I have no idea on shipping times or customs charges as noones overseas has taken me up on this yet. I will find out and let you guys know.
NapaBavarian, all those engines are pretty easy to come by, price depends on how quickly you need it and what's available at the time (as with anything).
I've currently got a complete 606.962 with gearbox if anyone wants one? Its done almost 200k but runs peefect. I'm asking for $2000 shipped to your door, or $800 if you want to sort out your own courier.
Good news!
I have been informed that the transit time is 1-3 working days. If some of you were wondering why the shipping cost is so high this would be why
And there's even better news!
The price quoted for shipping includes all customs and port charges.
Get it quick before I raise my prices!
Were you able to get any info on customs? Does your courier have any information?

Just to add, I realise the cost is quite high for shipping and not everybody has that kind of money lying around, so I've been looking into other shipping methods to help you guys out.
If ive done my homework correctly Imay be able to offer you a flat price of $2000. The only catch is that it could take up to a month to arrive and you will need some way of picking up a 250kg (550 lb) pallet from the nearest seaport.
The only problem I'm having is working out any charges (customs, quarantine, handling etc.) on your end. Maybe some of you can help me out here?

So ive contacted various agents and shipping companies, some have been helpful, some have not. In essence I have found out that it's not going to be possible to ship engines for much less than the price I have quoted. This is mainly due to customs charges, port charges, clearance etc.
If any of you want a 606 and are willing to deal with the paperwork when it gets to you, then I can supply one for roughly $1600. This will arrive at the seaport/airport of your choosing. Who knows, maybe you can get a better deal at your end.

I am looking for a OM606 can you help me find a turbo one. I am ready to purchase.
I noticed a couple people looking here for parts vs a complete engine. I have an OM606.610 and im looking for OM606.962 connecting rods and pistons. Let me know if you can/want to sell these parts seperately. I've found a couple complete engines in the USA but they are expensive, and I really only have use for the rods/pistons going into my original block.
Cheers
(12-11-2014, 06:46 PM)hooblah I can supply these bits no problem. I would however recommend having a complete bottom end so you also have the oil squirters, which the 610 doesn't come with. But its up to you.

This statement isn't completely correct. The .910 which I have also has squirters but they are different from the .962 in that they bolt in not press in. I swapped over to the better pistons and rods from a .962 and used the stock .910 squirters. I bought my short block for 500 and shipping sold the block for 100 and still have a spare head to sell or use in the future.

I looked into doing this, as I wanted a good supply of LSx v8s as a back load to sell in the uk.
Cheapest way to do it was 10 engine plus gearbox combos packed in a shared container.
It's really not an easy thing to organise by the single unit, customs don't like oily old engines. They need to be completely clean without any oil or fuel spillages or leaks.
I needed someone in the us willing to swap 10 om60x engine and gearboxes with 10 lsx engines etc to make it worth the effort!
Any sizes or what are you looking for? I have a good start at my shop.
