Hi Guys

I have 603.960 motor in G classe mercedes.

My pump is Toms/Davids in 7.5mm element mod and I will be using unmoded pump until I get the 7.5mm pump.

I´m planing to buy this turbine with internal wastegate and .48 AR.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Garrett-B...3308wt_941

What wastgate pressure should I chose and do you agree that this is a good turbocharger for my 250hp goal?

Don't waste money on antique junk. Use a Holset or Garrett GT series.

Hi ForcedInduction.

Is this T3/T4 old design and not flowing as good as Holset and Garrett GT?

What turbo do you hink would be better for me?

I´m not going to use VGT for now, I dont have time build the controls.

Right, the T-series design is from the WWII era, the Holset and GT turbos were developed with computer aid for much better efficiency and operating range. $1100 is an extremely high price to pay, you can get much better turbos for a fraction of that.

An HX35 has proven a good match for your engine. And a GT35 or GT37 would work well on the Garrett side.

Hi Forcedinduction

ok I'm looking for garrett Gt35 now, What A/R would you pick on T35 for 603.960 in a G class?

Should I use wastgate and how many PSI?

What adapters do I need to buy to make it fit my engine?

New Garrett Gt35 costs about 1400$ on ebay and I am ok with that if it is the best turbo available.

Thank you very much for your help.

I´m in California until 20 jan and I need to buy a turbocharger before I go home.

Find a rebuilt hx35. So much cheaper and you might be happier with that turbo for your application. I would assume.

Mb 1984 w201 om603 swap.
Mb 1986 w201 190E 2.3-16v

Hi

I found HX35 on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CUMMINS-D...2888wt_941

Is HX 35 simular in size as GT35? Who will kikk in first??

What do you guis think will happen if I will put it on my engine and use original pump? Will it be much slower to respond than my original KKK? (my pump is in 7mm eliment mod, but I dont know when it will be finish)

Do the exhaust flange fit? Is it ok to bolt it on even tho it is splited?

Thank you for helping me.

Regards

Those appear to be clones and no genuine Holsets...I do not have any personal experience with clones, but I have heard to stay away from them. I got my HX35 which was rebuilt within 3000 miles ago and I paid $250 no too far from here. Deals can be found.

I paid 600$ for a new hx35w with the 12cm housing. Not china. I also have a hx40w with a t3 flange that I paid 200$ for.

The hx35 has a t3 style inlet flange and a 2.75" v-band for the exhaust. On mine it also had a v-band for the compressor outlet so I cut it off and made a small notch around the outlet so a boost hose won't pop off.
