Guys,

I may soon have access to a CNC plasma cutter. I would be willing to run a quantity of common flanges: OM616, 617, 603, 606, etc... Intake and exhaust as well as turbo flanges or other parts if you send me the materials and the .dxf files or for the cost of materials and a little for the time if I have to create the CAD file.

This access will cost me a moderate amount of money and I was hoping to offset that by trying to help the STD community with access to cheap machining. This is definately NOT a commercial, money making venture on my part.

I thoroughly believe that a custom turbo plate should not be any more than about $30 and a standard one more like $10.

Any interest?

1998 MB E300 - 194,000 miles. Current/future mods: 7.5mm pump elements, Holset HX40 Turbo feeding Eaton M90 supercharger through custom fabbed intake system. Aeroturbine muffler, scratch-built 4" stainless exhaust. EGR eliminated, ECM recalibrated, modified rack position feedback circuit. Porterfield RS brake pads, Bilstein sport shocks, VDO EGT, oil and boost gauges.

2000 Ford F250 - 150,000 miles. Current/future mods: DP Tuner 3 map chip, scratch-built high flow intake, high output IDM, open circuit fuel system, ball bearing turbo, South Bend full metal clutch, slotted and drilled rotors. Autometer Sport Comp EGT and boost gauges.

I'm supposed to get certified on the CNC plasma machine tomorrow night. I'll know more after then.

Maybe we can chat about making my Adapter plate.

Mind if I get one of those made too? I can put the dxf on my server if you send it.

$30 - definitely interested. Maybe I can finally put a turbo in and hope all my work on the controller wasn't for nothing.

I have to go to some more classes and safety certifications in early March so hopefully, within a couple weeks, I'll be able to start some experiments.

The shop uses a Torchmate water bed plasma cutter that's run by G-code. Your .dxf files need to be "poly lined" and saved in ACAD 2.5 format.

I'm sure the torchmate is more accurate but plasmacam is stupid simple to use. Ours doesn't have a water bed though.

1984 300D 4-speed ~200,000 miles
7.5mm M-pump, GT3582 turbo, F-Tune Performance intake/exhaust manifolds, A/A intercooler, 315 nozzles, Enlarged prechambers, Bosch 044 feed pump, Custom lightweight flywheel with 240mm clutch, Lowered, 17" AMG rims - 300 hp OM617 project
1985 300D 280,000 miles RIP
2001 F350 7.3 DP tuner, 4"exhaust, S&B intake

I'm using torchmate all the time in a waterjet cutter in our workshop. It is ultra user friendly and the click of a button will convert your drawing to DXF format
You can also scan and import your hand drawing to Tormate CAD and convert it to DXF.

PM Me if you need any help
