What Bumpers will work on the W123 Chassis? I own a 1985 Mercedes 300D Turbo. Looking for what can just bolt on without any modifications, cutting, et cet.

Will the Bumpers from a 280 (W114) just bolt up? I am looking for Euro Bumper options.

I also saw on German Ebay where the AMG Front Air Damm for the W123 went for a over $300USDs.

Thanks in advance.

Only w123 bumpers are direct bolt on. w114/w115 are different.

Gota love Mercedes Diesels!

Yes. The 280 usually have the 3 piece bumpers, which I like the best.

The rest were one piece with rubber end moldings.

BTW - there is a good rear 3 piece in my local yard. The front kind of got hi t in the corner. Not sure what the price would be.

As far as I know - Euro bumpers wise - the 280 was the only one with a 1-piece bumper. Everything else had the 3-piece.

What I know is the 280E/CE and 230/230C came with the 3-piece. All the wagons and diesels came with the 1-piece with the rubber ends.

Examples of 3-piece bumpers.

Right! We mean the same thing but with a different terminology! What I meant to say is that all models got the "FLAPS" bumpers whilst the 280E / CE got the "no flaps all chrome" bumpers. Hower AFAIK the 230 got the flaps model too!
