I picked up a "junk but I might be able to get it running" 617 from a '75 last night. Yes I'm keeping the intake & M-pump Big Grin

It looks like the alternator adjuster is superior to my '82, and the thermostat housing looks much easier to work with. The '75 will be going into an old Allis Chalmers. The stock engine was a gas I4, 35hp, redlined around 2,500. It should be interesting with a 75hp diesel turning 4,000 Smile My Dad will have a racing tractor!

Is there anything else I should grab for my '82 motor?

Can I swap the '75s M pump for my '82 MW pump?

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?
