Hi,

I'm looking for a 603 turbo pump. Just to make sure, a pump out of the following is ideal for a 606.962 project?

OM603.961
OM603.960
OM603.970
OM603.971

Are all of these the same pump, or are there differences I should be aware of--or a preference. If you don't have one, do you know of a good place to look?

Thanks,

The .960 and .961 are '86/'87 603 3.0liter turbo pumps, most common and the one that I read MYNA has developed for their conversion. This pump is a perfect slide-in for the 3.0 as it has the correct 5100rpm high-idle setting.

The .970 and .971 are 603 turbo 3.5liter pumps, later emissions and bigger bore, lower horsepower and lower RPM setting. Installed on the '90-up 350SDL and SD, and SD 300. I prefer the .970 pump for modifications but it needs to be modified to match the 3.0L engine/transmission combination.

'87 300TDT "Pandora"
Garrett T-30 .55 @ 18.5psi, .970 IP @ 13.5ATDC turned up, #22 head with oblique injection, 4-puck brakes, 215 Michelins on 16x8" Bellos, updates etc.

The best pump for modifying is the RS203 because it has a wilder cam, but you need to run an external ALDA. The RS181 is next and last the RS157.

RS203 -- om606na (non-turbo) 1995--1997
RS181 -- om603t (3.5L)
RS157 -- om603t (3.0L) 1987

I have an extra RS181, so I might consider selling it. I can get you a RS157 too. What are you building? send me a PM.

I'll take it, PM sent. Assuming, of course, that the OP doesn't want it.

I still would like a good 603 pump. Better, yet a 606 off a 95 would be best.
