That's really low. With stock fueling (no ALDA), straight pipe and a VNT I could hit 1100*F on steep hills with the trailer.

Idle was around 280*F, cruising was around 500ish IIRC.

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?

Mine isn't stock fueling, so take it for what its worth to you. But If I am on a long long hill I can hit 1000, POST turbo. I dont ever push it farther than that, cause thats gettin pretty toasty.

Usually I can get it up to about 800*F on the freeway, I think the max I've seen it get was about 1000*F on a long uphill pull with the pedal floored. This ia with alda maxxed and boost turned up a bit, and straight pipe of course. Other than that its stock pump and non-egr manifolds. I haven't been using the water injection so no idea how that will affect things. My thermocouple thing is in the bottom of the flat spot pre-turbo, and I'm using a Sunpro gauge I got from Pep Boys

Hope that helps

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

Same spot as sassparilla kid. I idle about 250 and cruise around 450. Seems low to me too, that's why I ask. I'm using the VDO gauge I got from Rudolph and his thermo couple that he extended. T.his pump has no ADLA and no rack limiter. Other than that its stock

Just removing the rack limiter does not mean the rack will go to full travel. The governor is still holding it back some.Torque control adjustments will cause the rack to go further and then egt's can go too high.

No, that's cut DV's or when you turn the screws up inside too much. No rack, but no other changes just gives you a little boost of fuel(2psi?)
