Hi!

Very interesting VNT single-turbo setup from the Le Mans Audi R18 TDi (3.7l V6).

Looks like a close-to-perfect setup for V engines!

I don't think I've ever seen a turbo with 2 compressor outlets and 2 turbine inlets before. Makes sense for a V configuration engine.

Thats very interesting. I wonder how that affects flow and efficiency of the turbo vs conventional?
What is the name of a design like this?

If its not inline its out of line Tongue

there is several engines that has that construction, if I am not mistaken this make the radial load on the bearing more even and balanced, that is what it is used in pump construction

I would give a lot to see compressor and turbine map

Ford also used a turbo with two compressor wheels on the 6.7, but from what I read they did away with that for the 2014 model

That caterpillar turbine housing looks to have split scroll housing with each inlet feeding its own scroll.
Awesome

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..
