It has been nailing intermittently hot or cold even though I just rebuilt the injectors in it and made no difference? I did a valve adjust as well
I'm thinking its carboned up prechambers and was going to do a diesel purge?
any thoughts

08-14-2009, 01:23 PM #1when I first start my 240d and the engine is cold it starts on all cylinders nice and smooth and about 5 seconds later it starts missing and smoking until it runs for a few minutes. Or until I rev it up for a sec then it clears up?

My 300 has similar behavior. The engine runs perfect and g@sser quiet with the glowplugs on then #5 will rattle more than the rest. I've changed the IP and injectors with zero change. Once in a rare while, it will idle perfect for a few seconds. I haven't tested compression or pulled the prechamber yet.
