I have heard some here talking about the 6 speed manuals that can apparently bolt onto the OM60x engines.

Which models are these from, and what are the part numbers on those trannies? I have only seen the 2001-2003 C230K sport hatchback, but was that available in a sedan, and are there any other models that could fit? I also saw these:

(from a 2001-2003 C240 W203):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/01-02-03-MERCEDE...60&vxp=mtr

(from a 1997-2000 SLK230)
-this one used the exact same engine as the C230K so I think this one is promising.

(from a 2005-2011 SLK300-350):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-06-07-08-09-1...1a&vxp=mtr

(2006-2007 C230)

(2009 B200 - who buys these things?!):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-Mercedes-Be...12&vxp=mtr

(2006-2007 C300 - I would bet on this, considering the C300 was a V6):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-07-Mercedes-C...3a&vxp=mtr

Additionally, looking at some Mercedes brand manual transmission fluid, I found this:
1999-2000 C230 M/T 717.460
2002-2002 C230 M/T 716.663, 716.668
2003-2005 C230 M/T 716.605, 716.628, 716.631

2001-2005 C240 M/T 716.623, 716.634, 716.638
2008-2011 C300 M/T 716.671
2001-2005 C320 M/T 716.660, 716.667, 716.669
2006-2011 C350 M/T 716.664
1998-2000 SLK230 M/T 717.460
2001-2004 SLK230 M/T 716.622, 716.630
2006-2008 SLK280 M/T 716.660, 716.669

2009-2011 SLK350 M/T 716.664

Only the older Inline engines use the same bolt pattern as our engines. So in the US only the C230 KOMPRESSOR SLK230 KOMPRESSOR that uses the M111 will work. It is a rather terrible transmission too (incase you've never drive one)

  i install 606a/ 605a/662a into g wagens both 460 and 463 swb and lwb models .
my personal lwb 460 g wagen has a 716.630 with the dual mass flywheel / 240mm clutch  from 220 cdi merc  it works perfectly and has been on the road for years  - no problems .
my super G runs a 605a with a 716.606 six speed using a 220cdi f/w clutch also / excellent results /slick shift  and i fit the clutch master cylinder from the donor car which gives a light positive strong clutch / i have towed big trailers etc etc.
i have tried to post pictures but it just does not work for me /  pictures of the super g build is on G-wagen register.com

Plenty.
Never run on a dyno ,it has an rs 191 pump with 6 mm elements with maxed out settings .
My lwb which has a 606a with 716.630 box has been running for 5 years now , towing big heavy trailers etc .
I have no really high power engines but the boxes seem strong .

Reason I ask is that I also have a 716.606 which will be mates to a om606 but im not sure as to how much power it will cope with. If it's capable of holding 4-500bhp then I'll be happy as it avoids a costly mistake!

Hi axel606,

do you have any photo's of the master cylinder set up.
I've a 716.651 box with f/w and clutch, just curious how you got the master cylinder set up

i was just going to use the regular w460, as i know it works from talking to someone over on African forum. he's been running it for 6 months no issues with regular w40 clutch master cylinder and concentric slave.

hi , i cannot seem to post pictures on here they just do not load and timeout .
the 460 master cylinder does work .. but.... it makes the clutch terribly heavy and i think it also 'over travels' the concentric slave with potential for damaging the mechanism.
i will post up the alterations to fit the clk clutch master cylinder on G-register forum technical when i have some time .
my lwb has a really light positive strong clutch because i have used all the hydraulics from the donor clk 220cdi so you have a car type clutch on a g wagen - the clk master cylinder travels 30mm of stroke from pedal 'up' to pedal 'down' i make a bracket to fit the clk master cylinder so the g wagen pedal box gives exactly the same 'action'

As CutWeldDrive said I was running the stock master cylinder, but it must be noted that it was running on the original OM603 motor i.e. 228mm flywheel and clutch.

Axel points out the it could work (assuming 240mm flywheel and clutch). I have that setup now in my G and cannot disengage the clutch properly. I'm not sure what the difference is in the "donor" car master clutch cylinder and the G cylinder but the difference must be in the stroke as the diameter is exactly the same ie 19.05mm.

Mike I have sent you a mail for details, but would be very grateful for pictures on GWagenRegister.
