it's actually cost competitive! also i am HORRIFIED at the cost of diesel in germany - 1.5 Euros a liter = 6.15388716 U.S. dollars a US gallon!! lol

Neste Oil started selling "renewable diesel" in NorCal this year. Its 98% pure fischer trophe fuel made out of animal and plan fats. The process is far less energy intensive than this CO2 fuel and its on the market today. Best part is 75 cetane, no smoke and its cheaper than #2 diesel.

It beats biodiesel in every respect except maybe lubricity.
