Hi, I have a 1992 E300 TD Turbo 4-Matic that should have a curb weight of 3770lbs, but mine has a curb weight of almost 4784 lbs.

What could make all the extra weight? The curb weight of my Benz is with no luggage, stereo or other stuff. So I can not imagine what makes it so much heavier than it should be.

Any ideas?

I can only imaging that the 3,770 is rwd and 4,784 is awd - unless you've got an extra large fuel tank also.

That is HEAVY. Did you do something wrong switching from KG to pounds? Was another vehicle weighed to verify the scales don't have bias? That seems implausible.

The curb weight of 3770 is on a facelift 4Matic and the scale is right. So i have no clue why my car is so much heavier than it should be

A 25% increase of mass over specs with nothing extra does not compute. Either your chassis is full of water or or hidden drugs, the advertised curb weight is BS, or that scale is off.

Front power seats are like 30kg each. Early rear seats with horse hair are heavier than later foam seats. I lost over 40kg switching to a 5 speed. Lighter battery. Get a RWD.
