I will be getting a new pump soon for my 603- it's going to be pretty tame, 6mm and 85-90cc. Anyway, just wanted to see who out there has pushed, or at least gotten close, to the stock 722.3's "400nm" (295 lb ft) limit.

I only ask because I don't want to have to worry about a new trans (at least not this year), but I am looking at making anywhere from 280-330 lb ft when it is all said and done. I figure this should be ok as long as I don't beat on it too much, but I guess we'll see. If things start to magically fall apart right at 295 lb ft, I'll ask them to set the fuel to stay just shy of that. Seems like all of the 560's were right up there at 288-317 lb ft, and I am thinking that they didn't go too overboard for a different trans for those cars, but I could be wrong.

From what I understand 722.3 will take some pretty serious abuse if you turn up the line pressure modulator.

90cc Pump on its way from Finland. We'll see how long the trans lasts. I think it should be fine, I'll probably have 280-320 torque depending on how my final set up is. I don't typically abuse my car but I'm sure with the new power I will be tempted to. Gonna do some of the trans spring upgrades, run some type f, etc. Also going to start saving for a 722.6, hopefully I can do that swap next spring.

I'd crank the shit out of the modulator and hope for the best. I've read that they are pretty stout when the line pressure is cranked to them, but they just shift hard. Good luck and keep us posted!

After installing 120 cc Dieselmeken modified pump, on the first run under boost my transmission started to slip in 3rd and 4th gear. I turned T handel at the modulator two notches and is all good now. I do frequent burn outs not, some much high speed, like over 160 km. I drive with this set up for two years now and trany so far is holding fine. My car has 353000 km on the clock. And I have no idea if any work was done to transmission. What I done myself is a filter and fluid change. So, I wouldn't worry much about transmission with less fueling as long all is in good working order to start with.

Nice!

Yeah, I think right now I have the modulator turned in about 1-1.5 from when I got it. I figure I can probably get another 1 or 2 turns in if needed.

I actually just got finished changing the fluid and filter right now. The car has 168k, so all should be good. No metal in the pan, a little bit of dark stuff at the bottom but it may just be dirt. I do need to do the K1 kit I think...I have it sitting here, but the screws were not cooperating and I need my car tonight so I decided to just do it at a later time.

Anjay, did you use the VCV with the new pump? I have heard a few rumors that they limit full throttle. I asked to be able to use mine on my pump, but since it is pretty mild it may not interfere with rack travel. I have a backup idea for trans vac if it ends up not working.

Not really of any scientific finding here, but I have been running my car with full boost /etc for about 3000 miles now and all seems fine with the trans. No dyno numbers to tell of, so I may not really be putting down much torque, but it sure feels like it.

I did do a trans fluid and filer change, and used a combination of Redline IID and Trick Shift. It shifts really well and the torque converter seems to slip much less than before, which was at stock fueling with my old pump.

I suspect Redline Hi Temp or their Type F would be a good choice to keep temps down and clutches from slipping if you are going to be making moderate power.
