Good evening, this is my first post so hello everyone!

I'm building a W124 with a 605 at the moment and i've got a question about oil coolers. I'm using a KKK turbo from an E300 so i'm not going to be making huge power. Obviously the 605 comes with the oil/water cooler, but with the manual pump on this won't fit. I have a 606 n/a oil filter housing which does fit but this means I don't have an oil cooler.

What is the best way to get round this? So far i have 3 options;
  • 606 n/a housing and no cooler (probably overheat the oil)
  • 605 housing with fittings welded on in place of the standard oil/water cooler (with there being no thermostat on it, could this cause warm up issues with the oil?)
  • Make a sandwich plate, remote oil filter and cooler (pain in the a*se)
any other suggestions? Here's a photo of my car and the engine before i put it in yesterday!

Is it a dieselmeken pump you've got on?? Cos that's what I've put in mine and the oil/water cooler has fit on.

Its from Luke at DieselPumpUK. If I took the rear module off it and made a plate it would fit, but as it is it doesn't.
