Living the Netherlands myself and having fitted a turbo and intercooler to my 1985 Hymer on MB 309d I am sure you'll be happy using the knowledge I gained.

I have fitted the turbo some 100.000 kms back and it is still running fine.

The OM617 in the 309d with turbo is something very different from the original. Problem with the 309d is you only have space for a turbo underneath the engine, lower than the oil pan. Meaning ........... no oil supply from the engine. I solved that one too!
Greetings, I have a T1 308 with a 2.3 l gasoline engine. The engine is not powerful enough to handle mountains and the weight of the camper. I have a 617910 engine from a 300D car (T1's were never sold in N/A) that I want to install. I would be interested in knowing more about your turbo conversion.

Thanks, Mike
