Good afternoon from Scotland! I am a new member but have been lurking for years. I'm not new to old Benz diesels, having had several US spec om617s (turbocharged of course). I currently have a 1992 W124 with the n/a om603. I have seen several folk do a very-much budget/diy turbo addition using various bits from an om603.96x and new pump elements. I am interested in doing something like this.

I know there are lots of other options, but they involve removing the motor and I'm not interested in that at this time. My family situation, space, budget, etc. don't allow it. But I *can* swap bolt-on parts like manifolds, turbos, and pumps. I'd like to try my hand at a DIY pump with 6 or 7.5mm elements using the university of Youtube and dieselmeken's tutorials.

I'm looking for others that have done this and their experience, rather than 'naw mate, just swap for a 60x w/ a turbo'. As I said, I don't have the resources for that at the moment.

Cheers,
J

Hello! I also have 603.912 n/a without piston cooling oil nozzles. Did you manage to make tuning of your motor?
