So I'm looking for the most straightforward fit between an OM605 and a W123.

I already have the 605 w the stock auto box still in the donor car (which is my daily).

The W123 is a 240 w 4spd manual.

I plan to purchase Baldur's 'magic black box' to control everything including the EDC pump which will remain.

So which option is the most straightforward and least burdensome swap taking into consideration transmission and driveshaft fitment?

Swap the whole 605 drivetrain and find/make driveshafts that fit?

I'd prefer a manual trans but if keeping the autobox is easiest I'll do that.

Keep in mind I'm in Scotland and it's not 'normal' to just go to a junkyard and look around like I would've done in Indiana.

I can get a w202 5spd manual conversion for cheap from N Ireland, which could be a good fit.

Dunno! It's just that the damn 616 is SOOOO SLOW!
