Hey guys this applies to my 87 om603 300d spin on fuel filter.

Once removed the old one and ready to install the new filter, what should be filled inside it. I forget this was a long time ago i did it.

Clean diesel only (in a perfect world). Not from the old filter....

Put Diesel, Diesel Kleen, ATF or whatever other fluids you want into it. 99% of it will be recirculated to the tank within a few seconds.

If you fill it with ATF the engine will run REALLY smooth and quiet for about 10 seconds... then back to normal.
