RE: My 1987 300D - winmutt - 05-08-2015 A shitty one off ebay that did not hold. 6 puck sinter is holding strong still. RE: My 1987 300D - winmutt - 08-03-2015 Trans/clutch is shot again. Was already planning on killing this project this winter, now its been accelerated. RE: My 1987 300D - MFSuper90 - 08-03-2015 What are you going to do with everything? RE: My 1987 300D - EmJay - 08-04-2015 Ouch bro... Lemme know if you ever need a second set of hands around the shop. Or some refreshing scotch? RE: My 1987 300D - raysorenson - 08-05-2015 So sorry to hear man. RE: My 1987 300D - dude99 - 08-09-2015 Why not just turn down the pump and daily drive it instead of getting rid of it? RE: My 1987 300D - winmutt - 08-10-2015 (08-09-2015, 12:35 PM)dude99 Why not just turn down the pump and daily drive it instead of getting rid of it? It's got a list of issues, interior being the hardest to getting around. Sunroof has been inop for 3 years, door cards are almost all falling off by now. The idea of a 400hp 535i that I dont have to turn wrenches on every weekend is appealing. RE: My 1987 300D - raysorenson - 08-10-2015 Early door cards are all over pull-a part and this is the perfect opportunity for sunroof delete. I'd love to get a non-sunroof headliner, the cloth one with bows so I could stitch up my sunroof and save a few pounds in the best place to do it. All that said, a '95 does sound like what you want. With a 606 turbo and a 722.6 trans. I think there's a great donor car in the classifieds for that.... RE: My 1987 300D - winmutt - 08-21-2015 Kids are getting older and I need to spend more time with them now so I spend less time dealing with problems later. Always do what I did and buy a 94-95 with a good interior and fully swap it long with the front clip, headlights etc... Still if it does come down to parting it... and I can scrape the funds together, I still want the bits for mine. |
