RE: Late w126 brakes on w123 - atypicalguy - 05-09-2019 (01-12-2010, 10:08 AM)winmutt(01-12-2010, 01:08 AM)ForcedInduction The Gen-II brake upgrade is done! Thanks to Tom Judd for use of his shop and his time helping. Agree with that. I have done the gen 2 w126 calipers, rotors and backing plates on my 85 wagon. The stock booster is adequate, but more pedal pressure is required for sure than for the stock setup. Usually this has also to do with the master cylinder diameter as well as the booster amplification factor. On the w124, the double diaphragm booster will fit. I am not sure how much space there is on a w123 for the thicker booster. Swapping the master cylinder and booster from a w126 would be a good move, if it will fit. Not strictly necessary, however. Easy bolt on and well worth it.Yup today I got to use them for a real emergency brake for the first time, I am def doing this on wifes car. wonder why my posts are gone? RE: Late w126 brakes on w123 - Kevy - 01-07-2025 It looks like someone went through the forum some years ago and censored/deleted a bunch of forcedinduction posts without knowing what they're doing. |
