RE: the $700 wonder! - iheartboost - 12-21-2011

RE: the $700 wonder! - DeliveryValve - 12-21-2011

(12-21-2011, 02:58 PM)iheartboost naw just a stock 722.3 but 722.3 > no trans lol.

Did you check to see if the B2 piston didn't get jacked up? This will save you from replacing the whole trans.

RE: the $700 wonder! - iheartboost - 12-21-2011

i havent checked. but pulling the trans is not that bad. coming from fwd this rwd trans will be cake.

not to mention the price of a new b2 piston is probably equal to what i paid for the trans Wink

RE: the $700 wonder! - DeliveryValve - 12-21-2011

My two cents... Changing out the B2 is an easier route to go - Unless the cylinder is totally trashed. A used updated B2 piston at a wrecking yard is significantly cheaper then a new one. What I've done several times with other cars now.

Mkay. I mean I know what your saying I already bought the trans though. Maybe after I swap em ill fix the b2 just for the learning experience.

Thanks for the advice man.

One heatshield looks upside down, but you'll need new ones anyway. Otherwise get the injectors pop-tested and inspected. Most likely at 150k+ miles you'll need new injectors...

RE: the $700 wonder! - iheartboost - 01-10-2012

Yea they dont look too bad so maybe they will turn out to be the issue

RE: the $700 wonder! - iheartboost - 01-15-2012

Greazzer does injectors on the cheap, and he does a solid job of it:
