RE: W202 220D om604 +P - NZScott - 12-08-2015 Twincharging can be done either way. My idea is to try fit the biggest blower I can into the engine bay and feed its output into a HE351VE or the like (VGT only for exhaust braking). The OM617 is reverse flow, I'll have enough trouble fitting a HE351 on the exhaust side the other without the M122 on the same (intake) side too! In fact I have my doubts whether a M122 will fit on the other side with the IP and oil filter etc etc... A big blower will spin slower and not only last longer life wise but output cooler air. I plan on putting a bypass in for when the turbo wants more air the blower can provide. Then the blower is out of the equation, aside from the rotors still being driven (I would love a clutch, but electric clutches stop with the much smaller M62). Much easier to have bypass piping when not near a inlet manifold too. Sorry to partake in said thread derailment... RE: W202 220D om604 +P - Merc8101 - 10-16-2017 which fuel pump did you use? |
