That car in Utah was yanked off FleaBay. I was the high bidder and the guy sold it locally for $3,000 but I think he let is slip by for a hair lower. It looked like the bidding stopped at around $2,200. Less than 24 hours before it was yanked.
BTW -- I am looking for a loaner or something on the super cheaps for a 617 NA intake and exhaust manifold (no EGR deal). I will obviously pay shipping and throw in a free injector service. I am buying a 617 NA car on the 26th of October and I want to clean up and glaze the exhaust manifold and soda blast the intake but I cannot have the car down and out. So, I need a loaner for about 2-3 weeks. Any takers or info appreciated !
There's a burgandy 300 NA with Getrag 717.400 five speed on FleaBay right now. You can buy it for a silly price tag of $14K. I will admit the trans is worth $2K but the car for $14K is nuts ...

If you need a naturally-aspirated 1979 W123 300D intake manifold (because that's what you have the air intake to go on), I can loan you one. I don't have a non-turbo 300D exhaust manifold though.

It looks like I just really need the exhaust manifold since I can bead blast the intake and install in one day. No biggie there.
I did get 2 super-fast responses relative to the manifolds. I think I just really need a loaner or a swapper for the exhaust and even then, I think to save on shipping, the participant will need to ship to the coating place. Once I get it back from the coating place, then I could ship mine to the participant - loaner. Sounds highly convoluted at this juncture ... LOL. I am getting the car on the 26th of October so I will have to see what I go to work with first. Pretty pumped to get off fossil fuels and start burning the grease again. The past year has been a virtual waste of $2K on dino-fuels.

Yeah, dogleg w/no overdrive, same as the 190e trans except it's almost certainly got a dual mass FW and bigger output flange for larger diameter flex disc. I'd prefer this over my 717.404, but I'm happy enough and I just rebuilt mine anyway.

That was my problem, outside with no injectors in it...
Yea I did, I found a 98 e300 turbo diesel complete runs great with 216,000 miles has body rot 1700$!! Not a bad find at all
