Turbo Id help needed - btrapr - 02-07-2010 I bought two turbos recently that I thought I might be able to put to use...JUST need to figure out what they were for and if they will work for my application. I will take any advice I can get as far as using either of these...I do want to add a turbo on the 240D. 1st one (I am hoping this will work for my 240D turbo add-on) Garrett- italy oil/water with the following #'s BA3331-1 2A 152068-1 9146010 * I need to know how to look up the bolt-on piece for the intake side where it has the "O"ring...and what exhaust flange to run. 2nd one Garrett/Air Research A/R 42 TAO315 Cust p/n 2674A108 ATD p/n 468778-4 * will this work for a 300D replacement to spool a little quicker...not looking for major power...plan on adding intercooler to my 300SD and minor adjustments to the IP once O get a better understanding of just how and what to do. I also need to replace the wastegate cannister thanks to a postal worker___the box was mangled. *Not sure if I will use this one or not...might just keep the one that's on the car now! depending on responses. It would be good for a 240D, but I'd personally use a GT17 from a Saab 9000. It will spool up quicker and the T-series turbos are antiquated. Quote:TAO315No. Its basically identical to the stock turbo except a few differences in compressor and oil flanges. |
