Turbo upgrade? - ID240D - 02-12-2010
New to the turbo engine scene, I recently bought an 82 300SD and am not sure what turbo it has on it. I saw this ad and was wondering it this would be an upgrade over what is on the engine now? Thanks for any help or recommendations.

Since it's from an old Saab (gas engine), I wouldn't put one in a diesel. Generally speaking, gas turbochargers have larger compressor than turbine and diesels vice versa.

It would be a major downgrade. The .63 A/R turbine means it wouldn't spool up until around 3500rpm.
