Maybe it's not dependent on it in this case...Wouldn't it be the same on a g@s engine if an ignition coil, fuel pressure regulator or throttle cable failed? You'd still be able to glide a couple miles to find a road to land on. Its not uncommon to hear of a private plane landing in the middle of highway traffic, its happened a few times since I've lived here. |
