Where Can I buy Steel Drums in CT? - TotalDiesel - 03-02-2010
Hello. I live in connecticut and I need buy buy 55 gallon drums to store Filtered and Unfiltered WVO. I would prefer Steel but will also used plastic.
Need to be 55 gallons or larger. I heard that I could get them refurbished or used for under $20. is this true? If anyone knows of a company that distributes these barrels I would like to know.

look for a farm supply place in your area. I grew up in CT and I can't recall if I have EVER seen a farm supply place during my formative years, but they have to exist somewhere in the state.
Ive bought lots of the barrels you are talking about from farm stores, usually for about 20 bucks a piece, and lots of 55 gallon plastic drums.

I got mine from the local industrial paint supply and a Semi-Truck repair facility - complete with Schaeffer oil markings.

Check flea markets, theres a guy that sells them throughly cleaned for $5 here...
