I had a deal but it fell through. Does anyone in the southeast have an engine? I can pick up within a few hundred miles of Atlanta/Athens... Verified compression numbers are a plus, I have a tester if your local.

I 2nd car-part.com. I just got an "A" rated engine out of a yard listed there for 350 bucks with less than 200,000 miles on it! free shipping since I am on truck route and there is already a truck coming through town!
Whether or not the compression numbers given to me are good remains to be seen, but it was not an engine listed on the website, I was calling on a different engine, so its worth calling some of these places to see what else they may have lying around.
I was calling on a 500 dollar engine, but when he heard I did not need a tranny, he told me what else was in his inventory, which was like a further 4 or 5 powerplants.
