Cant wait to see some videos of it accelerating! RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - ForcedInduction - 04-10-2010 (04-10-2010, 09:41 AM)willbhere4u Cant wait to see some videos of it accelerating! Hopefully it will do that someday! Unfortunately to date its been all show and no go. Burnouts only show its tires have poor traction and show trophies mean its pretty, I'd like to see it do something actually performance oriented. RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - jeemu - 04-10-2010 (04-10-2010, 05:14 PM)ForcedInductionWhere we can find your quater mile vid? Or even dyno graph your engine power?(04-10-2010, 09:41 AM)willbhere4u Cant wait to see some videos of it accelerating! Every car has not made for racing. Here is his car what has made on track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRklKa3WE3E RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - ForcedInduction - 04-11-2010 (04-10-2010, 06:28 PM)jeemu Where we can find your quater mile vid? So its just made to spin tires and look pretty? Quote:Here is his car what has made on track.Thats neither diesel or a station wagon. RX7s are a dime a dozen. RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - jeemu - 04-11-2010 Here in Finland is allowed just one charger at inline engine. so thats for racing 1/4. Some people just build car what they want because they can, and is that wrong at when you got it done you burn some rubber with it? RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - ForcedInduction - 04-11-2010 (04-11-2010, 05:32 PM)jeemu is that wrong at when you got it done you burn some rubber with it? Its a free world, but those that know better know how unimpressive burnouts really are from a performance standpoint. Pretty much any vehicle can do a burnout, I've even seen a stock 220D do one! RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - jeemu - 04-12-2010 (04-11-2010, 06:21 PM)ForcedInductionYes free world and i know at even stock 220d can purn rubber, even my 477hp "dyno queen" as somebody call it in this forum can make that happend at 160km/h at 4 gear.(04-11-2010, 05:32 PM)jeemu is that wrong at when you got it done you burn some rubber with it? And those that know better at that w123 know how powerful that old lady is and yes it looks sweet RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - willbhere4u - 04-12-2010 Then take some vids of it doing that please! RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - jeemu - 04-12-2010 (04-12-2010, 06:47 PM)willbhere4u Then take some vids of it doing that please! Why bother? RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - ForcedInduction - 04-12-2010 (04-12-2010, 07:08 PM)jeemu Why bother? Proof that its actually capable of doing something other than a stationary burnout. Text on a forum is as valuable as the paper its written on. Pictures and video are testament to the claims, thats why I have 25GB of it on my computer saved from my own and other people's activities. If somebody comes here and says "My 300D can do 0-60 in 10 seconds with just the boost turned up", would you believe them or be skeptical and want to see the car actually do it? RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - Lincolnlock - 04-13-2010 I love that wagon. It's about time someone actually puts up a car that is hardcore. This site is called superturbodiesel. Way to go guys! RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - mbenzo300td - 04-14-2010 Jeemu, Thats a badass machine. Burnouts or 1/4 miles, I bet it moved. Great work! RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - jeemu - 04-14-2010 That s not my car. And what becomes at power of multivalve Mercedes engines. Here is driven at same motor at single turbo at 10.68sec at quater mile So how you think at car at 06bar at idle and 4.5bar at rpm go? ForcedInduction, build your self a 606 and you can feel the power, or come here and drive my car by your self. No need at youtube RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - Tymbrymi - 04-15-2010 (04-14-2010, 03:21 PM)jeemu ForcedInduction, build your self a 606 and you can feel the power, or come here and drive my car by your self. No need at youtube I agree... Regardless of what it can do, it is still an amazing piece of work, pushes the limits of what we know about these engines, and is far far better than anything we have done over here in the states. I think it's kind of sad that someone with a 150HP engine is trying to belittle someone who obviously (not from the burnout video) has significantly more HP than that. RE: Yyber turbo Mb from Finland - ForcedInduction - 04-15-2010 (04-15-2010, 09:48 AM)Tymbrymi I think it's kind of sad that someone with a 150HP engine is trying to belittle someone who obviously (not from the burnout video) has significantly more HP than that. I think its sad you're missing the point. I'm not "belittling" anyone, I'm trying to push them to do something productive with such an awesome piece of engineering. Whats the point of making 500+hp if you can't do anything with it but look pretty? A ratty looking vehicle that repeatedly pumps out impressive race and dyno figures (Such as the OM606 powered green 300D) is more impressive to real gearheads than a chrome and carbon fiber covered parking lot king. Nobody has even seen a dyno sheet or anything performance related for that engine, how are we to know that 0.6/4.5bar spec is doing anything? As said before pretty much any vehicle can do a burnout, the engine could have "only" 250hp for all we know! Everyone knows about the big impact of having a lot more air available off idle, even on completely stock tuning. Put a positive displacement supercharger on any diesel and its bound to have plenty of traction-breaking torque! Impress people, show everyone how much concrete crunching torque it really has and that you've got the technical skill not only to make an already amazing engine but to put that power to the ground! As Jeemu said... not every car is built to be a race car. Some people like to make show cars, some people like to make race cars, and some people just want transportation. As an engineer myself, I like to see things actually do something "productive", but I still respect the excellent engineering, craftsmanship, time, money, sweat, and artistic vision that went into the car. Regardless of the power it makes!
