OM612 in a F150 4x4 - winmutt - 06-18-2010 Not mine, posted on the okiebenz list. Just thought I'd share the conversion... http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/1794128919.html Quote:What we have here is a 04 ford f150 4x4 that I put a Mercedes 5 cylinder 2.7 diesel in. the motor has about 25k on it so it has about 275k left to run. i did all the work myself. and can tell you anything that you'd like to know. It has the motor and the trans from a 03 dodge sprinter mounted with a divorced manual transfer case setup. the 4x4 works and I got around 20 running it around last winter. it will get around 32mpg per GPS on the highway, 22 city, again it's all how you drive it. all the functions of the ford work aside from the ac (it does not have a compressor but could be added for the right $$$) . The truck does have a salvage flood title as that is how I acquired the truck. it is not a powerhouse like a cummins but gets the mileage of a modern tdi. with 4x4. One of a kind. would be interested in trade for a nice, not rusted out powerstroke 95 and up or cummins or dmax. or CASH. Please post me a pick of your trade or intentions in your email. As you can imagine a lot of people are interested but have no money or trade. RE: OM612 in a F150 4x4 - ForcedInduction - 06-18-2010 Nice! Too bad its unregisterable. |
