where is that darn head casting number is it by the injectors between the 2-3 cylinder my head reads

Ya mine is a 14, and the lifters stick. Hopefully replacing the buckets will rid me of the sound, if not I am putting a #22 head on.

The sad part was that there was a #22 head on the junkyards 6mos ago. They are not that expensive used from car-part.com

My only real concern is that the cooling pressurizes very fast after starting like in 60 seconds!
Its not loosing any coolant or smoking!
After I shut it off it stays pressurized for at least 24hr after it's cooled off?

Descale maybe? I saw an 87 this week with chunks of scale on the inside. Green coolant.............

The coolant is clean since the new rad with 100% water its clear even after a few weeks!
