Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - bgkast - 03-05-2008 I'm looking for an injection pump from a '85 cali 617 with the electronic rack sensor. I would like to test it for used with a electronicly controlled VNT. Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - winmutt - 03-05-2008 I think its 84 Cali and all 85's. I have one but am not keen on letting go of it for this reason... Perhaps you might want to just borrow the sensor? I believe the other IP's have a plate in this section? There was an 85 down at pull a part a while ago. I will go next weekend and see if the IP is still on it. I was offered one a few months back but turned it down because of the sensor...STUPID!!!! Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - winmutt - 03-06-2008 Honestly that sensor makes getting to one of the bolts a serious PITA. I will keep a look out. Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - ForcedInduction - 03-06-2008 Sounds like a good idea for a simple TPS. Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - bgkast - 03-06-2008 ForcedInduction Sounds like a good idea for a simple TPS. Why reinvent the wheel? I'm not sure I'll go with an electronic VNT, but it will be nice to have the option. I plan to modify the new IP and keep my old one unmolested as a backup. The sensor could also be used to trigger something like you two stage water injection. Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - bgkast - 03-07-2008 What's a fair price for an IP, I was thinking $60 to $70. Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - ForcedInduction - 03-31-2008 $60-70 is reasonable for an MW pump. The M-pump is more $150-350 because of its rarity. Here is something that may help you. Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - GREASY_BEAST - 04-17-2008 Looks easy enough to make one of those from scrounged parts.... Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - winmutt - 04-19-2008 I go to the yards in search of 4 pot calipers. LSD and once 85 injection pump or rack sensor Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - ForcedInduction - 05-05-2008 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERCEDES ... dZViewItem Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - ForcedInduction - 05-14-2008 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERCEDES ... dZViewItem Re: Wanted: 1985 Cali Injection Pump - bgkast - 05-15-2008 I'm not sure I need one now that I have my mechanical VNT control working fairly well. |
