What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - Oil Burner - 11-07-2010 What is a MYNA pump, What is the best most profitable pump for the 617 turbo engine and where do you get them? Can a 617 IP be turned up at a good IP shop or turned into a MYNA pump, and does anyone no of a good IP shop here in northern California or anywhere. DO you have a approximate cost of this too? Thanks RE: What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - garage - 11-07-2010 Myna is a company in Finland who modifies the pumps to increase the fueling. If you wanted to buy a Myna tuned pump, itll be about $1,600-$2,000 approximetly. You yourself can take the IP off and turn up the fueling some, but for big power you need new elements. If you want larger elements you can contact Tomnik, and DervTuning on this forum, they can help you out with installing larger elements. It will be cheaper than Myna, but still not cheap. RE: What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - 300SD_KY - 11-07-2010 not affiliated but chatting with Teemu from www.blacksmokeracing.com ... he is results oriented, and offers this service too. Not sure yet if bench tested, etc ... but if he reads this, hopefully he will weigh in. RE: What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - ForcedInduction - 11-08-2010 "blacksmokeracing", not exactly a name I'd choose in this time. Smoke is quickly (and thankfully) becoming "not cool" to diesel owners that know what they're doing and especially public relations. Nothing says "cool" like bringing back the "dirty diesel" image from the 80's! RE: What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - Oil Burner - 11-12-2010 Black smoke is not a huge problem but I dont want it coming out like a freight train. As long as it clears up by cruising speed, Im not looking for crazy power just a little extra off the line power. I have had 3 of these W123 and the best part about them is the cruising speed the down side it getting them their. Whats the proper route on these 617 engine's IP then Injectors or you have to do both at the same time? Budget is real tight I have to admit. RE: What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - ben2go - 11-12-2010 Injectors so they'll be ready for the modified IP and bigger turblow. RE: What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - muuris - 11-13-2010 If the injectors are working fine, don't touch them! You don't need bigger injectors in an IDI engine. RE: What is MYNA pump or Best IP for 617 Turbo - ForcedInduction - 11-13-2010 Right. modifying the injectors, other than nozzle type, will only make smoke. |
