Hugh makes an ALDA from an ADA - HughF_UK - 11-17-2010 So as my M series bosch pump has no ALDA on the top (it came from a uk spec w124 300d) I need some way of controlling the off-boost smoke. So this Bailey dump valve got donated to the cause: Half an hour in the lathe and it looks like we're getting somewhere: The plan is to rethread the top plate to accept an m10 socket cap screw, make a new piston rod that will seal into the lower steel part (which has a small lip seal inside) and then using a ptfe plug, resin up the dump ports and sleeve the outside with another aluminium tube. I'll then fit an air connection to the underside of the piston.
