How Strong is the 1991 W126 Suspension? - playadude - 12-22-2010
I've got a nice turbo diesel picked out (new engine), I want a road car that can handle all of the crappy roads we seem to have these days (american roads are going to the dogs!).
Is this big car as tough as it seems? I want to get the suspension checked out before i buy the car. Does anybody have a checklist for me to give to the mechanic?

They are great riding cars! Check the normal stuff bushings and ball joint's especially on high mileage cars! +200k

How about taking the abuse of highway potholes, crappy roads in town? Etc, are they pretty strong?
