Trannies with two starter blisters - Syncro_G - 02-24-2011 With some regularity, I'm seeing MB trannsmissions on EBay that have two starter blisters on their bell housings. Often one blister will have a thin metal plate covering it. I haven't seen any part numbers yet but they seem to come from 90's era V8's. It would seem that adapting one of these ith a new flex plate would be simpler than doing both a flex plate and starter relocation. Here's an example listing: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=130487688378&cmd=VIDESC&title=Description&index=11&nav=SEARCH&nid=17499715874 Ok, just found a listing with a trans number: 722.350 So nothing to get excited about And here's one listed as a 5-speed but no numbers in listing: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=310247197685&index=19&nav=SEARCH&nid=36575155026&back=1 RE: Trannies with two starter blisters - larsalan - 02-24-2011 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERCEDES-W140-S500-OEM-TRANSMISSION-1998-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2a0b55c627QQitemZ180578797095QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_500wt_750 RE: Trannies with two starter blisters - ForcedInduction - 02-24-2011 Thats for V8 models. |
